As a bit of light relief from the World Cup this week, Cupar Arts scored a sensational goal on the evening of 17th June at the Corn Exchange, the opening night of Cupar Arts EDEN 17-24 June.
The Conversation between David Mach and Rab Noakes showed them both to be in fine form, passing and exchanging thoughts deftly around subjects including early influences of home life in Fife, life in London and other places and events which have influenced their style and creativity over the years. Mach’s colourful use of language at times, didn’t put off his fellow player- Rab Noakes, whose music and singing was scintillating, a beautiful highlight of a wonderful evening of teamwork and collaboration between all players.
Cupar Arts are delighted and hope to welcome more people to the fantastic, skilful and entertaining David Mach Collages exhibition at the Corn Exchange, throughout the EDEN week. Still to come at the weekend are the Scottish Suffragette Play on Friday 22 June, with music from Essa Flett.
On Saturday 23rd, there will be the community Henge in the Haugh Park, 2-4pm with music from Muchty Music Makers, followed by Midsummer Music from Billy Caulfield and Pip Dylan from Raeburn Heights, supporting Tom Beaver and the Tarviteers, in the evening. Tickets from cupararts.org.uk or Milly’s Kitchen, Sun Close, Cupar. Cupar Arts hope this to be an equally sensational end to our excellent start of “EDEN” which we hope to repeat in fine form again next year, with welcome support from fringe events in the wings.
