Getting to Cupar Arts Festival

Cupar Arts would like to encourage you to travel sustainably to festival venues. Walk, cycle, use public transport or car-share!

Cupar is a historic market town, with buildings dating back to the fifteenth century. Walking around town provides an excellent opportunity to discover Cupar’s hidden treasures.
Walking is by far the easiest way to travel, and is excellent for short trips. It is a great way to discover the town, the arts festival and get a little exercise along the way.
If you are not accustomed to walking you may well be surprised how quickly you can get around Cupar. Everywhere in Cupar is within 20 Minutes walk of the town centre.

Cycling is a real and fun alternative to your car. By hopping on your bike you can travel around Cupar really quickly, which can often be faster than driving for trips within the town. Cycle parking is permitted at all Cupar Arts Festival venues and there is secure cycle parking at the train station.

Public Transport

Travel by public transport has never been easier. So let someone else do the driving.
Rail Travel: Cupar Train Station is located on the south side of the town centre at the junction of South Bridge and Station road. Rail services operate on the East Coast Mainline (Edinburgh-Dundee).
Coach/Bus Travel: There are direct coach and bus services to Cupar from Edinburgh , Glasgow , Dundee, St Andrews, Stirling, Perth, Kirkcaldy, Leven and Glenrothes.
Local Bus Travel: Cupar has its own town bus service (Stagecoach 68 Service). To travel further afield the bus interchange in the Crossgate is a good starting point, or at the bus stances at the Railway Station and LIDL. Many buses have low floor access and ramps. So, there’s no need to worry about stepping onto the bus, buggy or wheelchair access.
